While we gladly welcome walk-ins, we highly recommend booking in advance to reserve your preferred time and ensure a massage therapist is available to meet your needs.

Catalina Sea Spa offers a wide variety of massage treatments including prenatal massage. Our licensed therapists are experienced in prenatal massage in Catalina and know how to relieve your increased lower back pressure and other tight muscles. Carrying a little human inside of you is no small thing and while miraculous can take it’s toll on your ever changing body.

Some types of massage offered at the Catalina Sea Spa that can be modified for a pregnancy massage are the Revitalize Massage, an Island Escape Massage, a Goddess Package Massage or a Total Indulgence Massage to feel every muscle of your body relax to the soothing strokes of our therapist. Go for our Ultimate Ultimate Massage if you want a unique experience that lasts for two hours. You will be treated to lavender facial massage, peppermint scalp massage, full body Swedish massage, foot massage, exfoliating organic coconut lime sugar cane body scrub among others.

At this time, Catalina Sea Spa does not offer in-room services. All of our massages are provided in our serene spa setting, just steps from the beach—designed to give you the ultimate relaxing escape.

Catalina Sea Spa is conveniently located in the center of town, just steps from the beach. While we don’t offer transportation we are within walking distance of Avalon’s restaurants, shops and hotels.

Catalina Sea Spa has a cozy reception area, so we kindly recommend that additional family members take advantage of the many activities Avalon has to offer while you relax at the spa. Here are a few nearby suggestions they might enjoy:

  • Grab a Buffalo Milk at Luau Larry’s; located around the corner from Catalina Sea Spa
  • Relax on the beach; just steps from Catalina Sea Spa
  • If you have little ones, stop by Knabe Park located on Pebbly Beach Road
  • Grab a coffee and people watch at Catalina Island Brew House
  • Take a stroll through Metropole Marketplace and pickup a souvenir or two

While Catalina Sea Spa doesn’t offer massages directly on the beach, our tranquil treatments will leave you so relaxed, it’ll feel like you drifted away on a sea breeze.

As much as we love animals, the spa is a pet-free zone to ensure a relaxing environment for all our guests. If you’re traveling with pets, we recommend having a loved one take them for a walk or keeping them comfortable back at your hotel during your appointment.

We get this question a lot! While we don’t have showers on-site, we use massage lotions that absorb beautifully into your skin without leaving you greasy. Plus, we provide hot towels after your massage so you leave feeling fresh and clean.

Absolutely! If you have a favorite oil or lotion, you’re welcome to bring it. We’ll be happy to use it during your treatment to make sure your experience is as personalized as possible.

While you can bring your phone, we really encourage you to unplug and enjoy your time with us. Our goal is to create a peaceful, screen-free environment so you can fully relax.

We understand things happen. If you’re running late, we’ll do our best to give you your full session time, depending on our schedule. However, if another guest is booked right after you, we may need to shorten your session. Arriving on time ensures you get the full experience.
